William E. Voris, 76, of Shelbyville, died Tuesday, May 25, 2004, Indianapolis.

Born Nov. 14, 1927, in Johnson County, s/o Rexford Harley and Hazel Norene (Willey) Voris. Married Doris Sullivan on Aug. 25, 1978, and she survives.

Other survivors include three sons, Allen Voris (wife, Wanda) and Ronald Voris (wife, Kim) , both of Franklin, and Danny Voris (wife, Vicky) of Martinsville; two daughters, Billie Sue Freeman (husband, Daryl) of Indianapolis and Melanie Mullikin (husband, Jeff) of Whiteland; one stepson, Larry Michael Barnhorst (wife, Carol) of Greenwood; one stepdaughter, Shelly Ann McClintock (husband, John) of Shelbyville; one brother, Leon Voris (wife, Rose) of Waldron; one sister, Barbara Thompson of Shelbyville; 13 grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by two sisters.

Lived in Shelbyville for three years; previously lived in Southport [Marion Co, IN].

Bowling lane resurfacer for more than 30 years, retiring in 1984 from Yeager Bowling Service.

U.S. Air Force veteran.

Member of Second Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, in Franklin.
