Harriet was a 1947 graduate of the University of New Mexico, a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority, an active member of the Christian Women's Club and an ordained elder of Jemez Springs Community Presbyterian Church.
Harriet is survived by her husband of 53 years, Paul Adams of Jemez Springs, daughters, Amie Adams Green of Roswell, Helen Adams Wicker, Harare, Zimbabwe, Marguerite Adams Cameron of Albuquerque, son, Paul Adams Jr. of Grants, foster daughter, Robin Mitchell, Germantown, MD, brother, John Withers of Durango, CO and nine grandchildren. Harriet was greatly loved. Harriet will be remembered for her sweet spirit and generosity of heart.
A service, in witness to the resurrection of Harriet Withers Adams, will be held at Jemez Springs Community Presbyterian Church, Jemez Springs, NM, at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 21, 2000. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to All Faith's Receiving Home, 1709 Moon NE, Albuquerque, NM 87112.
