Daniel J. Moriarty, retired clerk of the Nashua Post Office where he was employed for more than 27 years, died at a local hospital today. He was believed to be the last surviving member of the Class of 1896 of Nashua High school. He was born in Ireland, March 1, 1880, son of Michael and Jane (Halsey) Moriarty but came to Nashua at an early age, residing here most of his lifetime. Mr. Moriarty was active in local politics and before his service at the Nashua Post Office was employed by the Nashua street Railway. He leaves a sister, Mrs. Nellie M. Gibson, and several nephews and nieces.
