In the spring of 1947, she married Stanford Milton Hatcher and moved to Queens, New York where they raised two sons, Robert and Ronald.
She loved to take walks, go shopping and sit on her back porch watching the birds fly by.
Sadly, she was taken away too soon by complications of Alzheimer's Disease in November 2003.
I will remember her for her love of learning, zest for life and neverending goodness and love for all those around her. Her nickname for me was Pumpkin.
