Born June 13, 1920, in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Dan and Gladys (Hayes) Green. She married Robert J. Zimny on Aug. 30, 1944, and he survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Rick Zimny and Dan Zimny both of Shelbyville; two daughters-in-law, Vickie Zimny and Pamela Zimny, both of Shelbyville; four sisters, Nancy Shields, Peggy Fowler, Joyce Zimny and Patsy Owens, all of Bloomington; and four grandchildren, Christina Lux, Rob Zimny, Andrea Zimny and Kevin Zimny, all of Shelbyville.
Mrs. Zimny graduated in 1938 from Smithville High School.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Private services will be Tuesday at Carmony-Ewing Funeral Home, 232 W. Broadway St., with the Rev. John Fink officiating.
Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
No visitation will be observed.
