Mary Daigle passed away peacefully in the morning of November 24, 2014. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Houston on Friday, December 5, 2014; Rosary will be recited at 10:00 am, prior to the Mass. Immediately following all are invited to a reception at PreFontaine Hall at the church. A private graveside services will be held at a later date.
Mary was a beloved wife and mother, wonderful friend, a kind and giving person and a tireless volunteer. She loved people and shared her enthusiasm, positive outlook and sense of humor with everyone that she encountered. A smile was always on her lips and twinkle in her eye.
She is survived by her daughter, Denise Harper and her husband Joe; grandson Craig Harper and wife Kate and 2 great-grandchildren and numerous relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Myron Daigle; her parents Stephen and Mary Toker and brothers Joe and Steve.
She was a member of Corpus Christi Church for 47 years as well as a member at St. Angela Merici Catholic Church in Missouri City; Past Regent of Catholic Daughters of Americas, Court Our Lady of Victory #234; volunteered at Veterans Hospital in Houston for 46 years as well as other organizations. She retired from Union Texas Petroleum in 1985.
The family would like to thank the medical personnel and professional care givers who served Mary with skill and compassion during the last year of her failing health. They, along with her strong faith in God, made a difference in her quality of life in the last year.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be donated to the charity of your choice.
