Lucille M. Craver
Lucille M. Craver, 90, died Thursday, March 9, 2006, at the Centerville Nursing & Rehab Center in Centerville.
Lucille was born May 8, 1915. She attended high school in Cincinnati.
Lucille married Claude E. Craver. He preceded her in death Jan. 1, 1970.
Lucille worked as a nurse's aide for St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital in Centerville. She was a member of the Exline City Council and held a position as the church superintendent. Lucille loved traveling and spending time in her garden.
Lucille is survived by three children: a son, C. Edward Craver of Talkeetna, Alaska, and two daughters, Carol Rio of Geneva, Ill., and Beverly I. Fowler and her husband, Gordon, of Wayland, Mass.; and four grandchildren, Anthony and Jason Rio and Christopher and Amy Craver.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a brother, Leslie Beer; and two sisters, Alice Bear and Ferne Beer.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. today, Tuesday, at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Shanz officiating. Interment will follow in the Exline Cemetery.
A memorial has been established to the Appanoose County Historical Society and may be left at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S. 18th Street, Centerville, Iowa 52544.
Note: Lucille was a 1933 graduate from Cincinnati High School, Cincinnati, Iowa and a member of the Exline Christian Church, Exline, Iowa.
