SGT GERALD "SHORTY" JAMES

Gerald "Shorty" James was born on January 31, 1947 in Butler, Choctaw County, Alabama to Edward James and Dorothy (Sellers) James. He died on May 19, 1968 in Thua Thien-Hue, Vietnam while in service for the United States Army during the Vietnam War at the age of 21 years, 3 months, and 19 days. SGT James was MIA for a day, until they were able to return and recover his remains.
