On Saturday, Mrs. R.E. Hill, wife of Uncle Jack Hill, who lives four miles east of Graham in the Dry Creek community, died peacefully at her home.
She was 65 years of age. Services were conducted at the home of Rev. D.J.E. Clark in the Dry Creek community. Rev. Clark is their neighbor and officiated the services. Her remains were bought to the Oak Grove Cemetery for burial and laid beside her son.
One by one the grand old heroes is passing away. Mr. and Mrs. Hill have been living in Young County for many years being in 1879. They have several children who are all grown.
Mrs. Hill had been married for 47 years.
Six children were born to the union of John Glaze Hill - Rebecca Elizabeth Thorn that was still living in 1907 were:
Clarence W Hill
Lewis Hill
Porter Hill
Anna Jennie Hill
Sarah "Sadie" Frances Hill
Joanna "Josie" Hill, wife of Jesse Thomas Farley
Her husband died in 1912 according to the affidavit of heirship.
