The above info was based on information found in records and information that I had been given by family members. Below is an email provided by Bob Zingo 48915106 which supports much of the information and also adds more detail which confirms more that Byre died of fits which nowadays are referred to as seizures.

Death of Mrs. E. P. Meadows

Mrs. Biar Meadows, wife of E. P. Meadows, Jr., passed away at her home near Egeria last Tuesday morning. Mrs. Meadows had been in poor health for some time and on this particular morning she appeared as well as usual and went to milk the cows at the barn near the house. Her prolonged absence caused other member of the family some concern, when upon investigation she was found dead near the barn. It is supposed that sudden death was due to fits which she had been subject to for some time.

Mrs. Meadows leaves a husband, five children – all boys, one of whom is a gun inspector in the U. S. Navy, a father, four brothers and five sisters. Mrs. Meadows was formerly a Miss Mills, daughter of Rev. John Mills, the well known Baptist minister.

After funeral services the remains were interred in the family cemetery near her old home by the side of two former wives of this unfortunate man.

Transcribed by: Bob Zingo,

Those 2 former wives would be Nancy Clementine Tilley and Martha J Farley Sneed as his only other marriage at that time was to Jemima Ellen Meadows which ended in divorce and she went on to marry George Bolen.

Also based on this it would appear that by 1913 Virgie Evlin Mitchem must have already died as it's pointed out that all her remaining children are boys which gives us the 3 remaining Mitchem sons as well as the 2 Meadows sons.

No headstones have been found for these 3 women or Elijah Preston Meadows.
