The Reverend Thomas Craighead [Sr.], Family, and sister Katherine arrived in Boston MA Oct 1714 on The ship "Thomas and Jane"

Rev. Thomas Craighead was pastor of Big Spring Church in 1738. Near the close of Apr 1739, during a communion season at the Big Spring Church, when having preached until quite exhausted, he waved his hand, being unable to pronounce the benediction, and exclaimed, "Farewell, farewell," sank down and expired in the pulpit. He was buried beneath the pulpit of which he died where the church now stands. ref: History of the Big Spring Presbyterian Church; The American Historical Magazine TN Historical Society

Thomas Craghead, who died in 1738, aged 74 years, and of Thomas, his son, deceased in 1735, aged 33 years; and of Margaret, his wife, who died in 1765, aged 63 years. Descended from religious families, they were eminent for piety, much esteemed in life, and lamented in death."
