Dollie Ashworth, 78, of Olney, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.

Dollie was born November 12, 1936 in Lawrence County, Illinois, the daughter of Ivan L. and Dollie Evelyn (Chaplin) Jones.

Dollie graduated from Flora High School in 1954 where she was a cheerleader and Senior Class President.

She married William "Bill" Ashworth on March 31, 1956 at Flora Methodist Church.

She was a postal clerk at Noble, Clay City, and Olney. She also sold Avon products for 50 years and was a farm wife. Dollie played piano at the Claremont United Methodist Church, where she was a member. She enjoyed camping and fishing on the Wabash River. Dollie was a very caring and loving person to friends and neighbors. She especially enjoyed her time with the grandkids. Dollie also had a love for her dogs.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Bill Ashworth of Olney; son, Steve Ashworth and wife Mary Ann of Olney; grandchildren, Justin Ashworth, Candi Sager and husband Justin, Logan Ashworth, Hunter Watson, and Hailey Watson; great grandchildren, Silas Sager and Olivia Ashworth; brother, Verl Jones and wife Linda of Naples, FL; and aunt, Inez Brown-Fisher of Sumner, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Dollie Sue Watson, and brother, Walter Jones.
