In all likelihood, he was born to his parents Rudolph and Mary in Olinville New York. This area soon thereafter became part of the Bronx and is adjacent to the Williamsbridge section of the Bronx. George married Marie Blot sometime in 1896 and at the time of the 1900 Census (1 June 1900) George Fowler (26) and Marie Fowler (32) were living with his parents in the Bronx at 1489 Hoe Avenue, Bronx, New York 10460-5905. George Fowler was already a motorman on the 3rd Avenue Railroad. It is believed that George converted to Catholicism before he married Marie Blot.
Shortly thereafter, on February 7, 1901, George's wife gave birth to a son named George Maurice Berrian. Sadly, Marie died of complication from childbirth 2 weeks after the birth of her son. After her death, the young George was cared for by his grandparents, Rudolph Berrian and Mary Berrian, and they raised him as their own for the next 20 years. It is believed that the household in which George Maurice Berrian was raised was Lutheran. Not much else is know of George Fowler after the death of his wife. It has been reported that he remarried and had a daughter named Lillian.
Buried 18 April 1939.
