On October 28, 1993, Gene left those he loved here on earth to be reunited with his wife, Pearl, and son, Blaine, and other family members and friends.

Clell Eugene Croxford was born on the day Utah became a state, January 4, 1896, in Millcreek, Utah to Ernest and Ella Jane Miller Croxford. He married Pearl Griffiths on June 21, 1916 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She preceded him in death on October 19, 1990.

He was always a good example of generosity and honesty. All his life his code of living was based on the commandment to "Love thy neighbor." He was a good friend to all.

He is survived by his daughter, Eva Johnson and husband Blaine, Midvale, Utah; daughter-in-law, Gloria Croxford, McMinneville, Oregon; 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lyle Walker and Ivy Christensen.

A special thanks to granddaughter, Alayna, who has so faithfully loved and cared for her Grandpa and "Nana" for many years.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 12 noon at the Union 1st Ward Chapel, 1100 East 7400 South. Friends may call Monday, November 1, 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State, Murray, and Tuesday, 11-11:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 South 1700 East.
