Eva Croxford Johnson, age 79, passed away April 14, 1999.
Born February 22, 1920, she was the loving daughter of Eugene and Pearl Griffiths Croxford. She graduated from Jordan High School. While working as a dental assistant, she met her husband, J. Blaine Johnson. Blaine always said that one of the reasons he fell in love with her was because of the beautiful smile she had for him. They were married in 1950 in the Salt Lake Temple by President Harold B. Lee. Eva was an active member of the LDS Church and had a strong testimony of the Gospel. At a time when there were few sister missionaries, she filled a full-time mission for the Church, serving in the Western States Mission. She always tried to help people when she could. She was loved by her many friends and relatives.
Her four daughters love and adore her and will surely miss her. She taught them to work and to laugh, to love and to forgive. Among her many virtues, she had good judgment and common sense. She was always someone you could talk to.
She is survived be her husband; her four daughters, Janene (Eric) Halvorson; Diane Pearl (Ralph) Meibos; Alayna Culbertson and Kim Marie (Ron) Dunn; nine grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Blaine Croxford.
