DES MOINES, WA - Eva A. Adams, 97, of Des Moines, WA, formerly longtime Yakima area resident, died Sunday, March 20, 1994, at the Judson Health Center in Des Moines. She was born September 18, 1896 in Tacoma, WA to Mathias and Barbara (May) Franzen. On June 26, 1916, she married Jesse N. Adams in Tacoma.
Eva was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Shalomi Club, Daughters of the Nile, Progressive Club and the Order of the Eastern Star where she served in many of the offices and was a past Matron. She enjoyed handiwork, sewing, crocheting, knitting and gardening.
Survivors include a daughter Ella Mae Fenn of Bellvue, 2 sons: Ray Adams of Tacoma and H. Wayne and wife Lorraine Adams and a daughter-in-law Dorothy Adams, all of Yakima; also 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Adams in 1983, a son George Adams, 7 sisters and 3 brothers.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, March 23, 1994 at 12 Noon at First Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow at Terrace Heights Memorial Park.
