Franklin, Dec 5 -- Mrs. Mary Mitchell Osborn, 72, of this city since 1878, died at the family residence, 1320 Eagle street, at 10:30 am today, after and illness of pneumonia for three weeks, her condition critical for several days. She was born in Newkuay, England, January 8, 1844.
She married John Osborn in the old country and they came to America together. After living in several place in this country, they came to Franklin in 1878, where they have since lived, and where Mr. Osborn has established a prosperous contracting business. Mrs. Orsborn was a devoted member of St. John's Episcopal church and had, by endearing qualities, made a large circle of friends in this city.
Her husband survives, with children, Mrs. J. E. Tarr of Richmond, CA, Mrs. F. C. Dailey of Wilkinsburg, Mrs. A. C. Sheasley, John Osborn Jr., and Miss Clara Osborn, all of Franklin.
Services will be at 2:30 pm Thursday at the late residence with Rev. Dr. Martin A. Aigner officiating. Interment will be in the Franklin cemetery.
