Miriam W. Brown died Nov. 23, 2012.
Born July 7, 1914, Mrs. Brown lived a complete and fulfilling life dedicated to God and family. She passed away peacefully in her sleep and went to be with the Lord. Her love for others was demonstrated in many ways and appreciated by all. The youngest of four children of James Emory and Pellie Bevil Weathers, she lived the longest.

Miriam retired from the William Carter Company and then began volunteer work. A longtime member of First Baptist Church and the Sunday school, she raised her children in the church where both were baptized and loved her church as much as she did.

Miriam is survived by her daughter; daughter-in-law; six nieces, three nephews, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, all of whom were dear to her heart.

Preceding her in death was her beloved son William H. “Bill” Brown Jr.; her first grandchild, Bob Shirley; and husband Bill Brown Sr., a joyous welcome committee along with all her family and friends who have gone before.

A celebration of her life will be held at First Baptist Church on Friday, Nov. 30, 2012 at 2 p.m.
