Private services were held for Jean Brock, 69, of Niles who passed away Tuesday morning in St. Joseph Hospital. Jean was born January 22, 1943 in Terra Alta, West Virginia the daughter of Reed and Beatrice (Dewitt) Cramer. Jean was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She had worked as a nurse's aid for sometime but truly loved taking care of her family most of all. Jean loved to sew and work on quilting in her spare time. She leaves her husband Charles Brock, whom she married April 17, 1971, six children, Jesse (Judee) Patterson of Niles, Julie (Chris) Galchick of Columbiana, Melissa (Richard) Hayes of Niles, Matt Patterson of Mineral Ridge, Ray Brock of New Castle, PA, and Bill Brock of Niles, as well as 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Jean also leaves her mother, Beatrice, two brothers, Lonnie and Jimmy Cramer, and two sisters Shirley Metheny and Bonnie Cramer all of Terra Alta, W.VA. Jean was preceded in death by her father, Reed, and two brothers, Jack and Benny Cramer. There were no calling hours. Arrangements were by the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Mineral Ridge Chapel.
