Manda Simpson died at the Somerset City Hospital after a short illness. She was 80 years old.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Rock Lick Baptist Church.

She was survived by her husband, William D. Simpson (married in 1922); her son, Howard Simpson; her daughter, Flonnie Adkins; her stepdaughter, Elva Whitson; and her brother, Leslie Davidson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Henry Davidson and Cassie Ann (Raney) Davidson.

Funeral services were held at the Rock Lick Baptist Church with Reverend Virthel Taylor and Reverend Lloyd Sewell officiating.

Farris-Morris-Hislope Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
