Abraham Hoagland arrived at Blenheim (now Gilboa) Schoharie Co. (then still "Albany"), NY about 1785 with his parents and several of his siblings. He married Mary "Polly" Frasee in 1795. His wife was the daughter of Benoni Frasee (one of two men with this name) who was a soldier of the Revolution and was one of the earliest settlers of Schoharie Co., NY. Abraham's farm was located about midway between Gilboa and Prattville on the south side of Schoharie Creek. This same property was owned in 1890 by the Richtmeyer family.
Abraham died within days of recording his will in 1816. His brother Christopher Hoagland (b. 1767-d.1850)) and his brother-in-law Benoni Frasee were the executors of that will. He and "Polly" had five children.
Benoni Hoagland (b.1796-d.1867), Jesse (married to Rozina Decker of Prattville), Jacob, David, Susannah (d. 1844), Rachel (d.1875), Nancy (married to Moses Mulford of Prattville).
His wife Mary "Polly" Hoagland died 31, July 1852. She is buried @ Manorkill, NY. (Grave Re-Moval Records of Schoharie Co., NY 1922)
