Luella (Mrs. N. Ted) Ackerson, 72, of 109 Center Street, New Ulm, died Tuesday morning, Aug. 19, 1986, at her home.
Graveside services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the New Ulm City Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
Arrangements are being handled by the Firle Funeral Home, New Ulm.
She is survived by her husband, Nathaniel "Ted; sons, Thomas and Mike, both of New Ulm, and Rodney of New Carlisle, Ohio; two grandchildren; brothers, Elmer Olson of New Ulm and James Olson of La Puente, Calif.; sisters, Esther (Mrs. Walter) Obritz of Los Alamitos, Calif., Gladys Olson and Sunnie Olson, both of Scotts Valley, Calif., Maggie (Mrs. Leonard) Schaefer of Elmore, and Ethel Byerley of Lakewood, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
She was born on Nov. 5, 1913, in New Hedmark, Norway, to Gerhardt and Martha (Strand Peterson) Olson. She grew up in New Ulm and attended New Ulm schools. She married N. Ted Ackerson on Feb. 20, 1937, in Reno, Nev. After marriage they traveled extensively with the Navy until 1953 when they settled in New Ulm. For several years she was employed at Tactronics and Windings, Inc. doing line work.
