NIXON -- Burnal C. Baker, 87, of Nixon, died Monday, Aug. 21, 2000.
He was born Aug. 15, 1913, in Gonzales County, to the late William S. and Matilda Jane Rainey Baker. He was a rancher and a member of First Baptist Church in Nixon. He was a 35 year committee member of the Gonzales County Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service.
Survivors: daughter, Molly Rowell of Stockdale; and two grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: wife, Delma L. Baker; parents; sisters, Ola Ivey, Gracie Pearl Baker, Marnie Myers, Janie Ritchie and Lucy Elizabeth Gibson; brothers, Henry Baker, Wilson Baker, Charlie Baker and Tee Baker.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Finch Funeral Chapel.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Nixon Funeral Home chapel, the Revs. Charles Bush, Jeff Berger and Marvin Miles officiating.
Burial will be at Bundick Cemetery. Finch Funeral Chapel, Nixon, (830) 582-1521.
