Robert Ernest Garner passed away Wednesday evening, December 24, 2014, at Maury Regional Hospital. He was born in Giles County on February 11, 1930 and was 84 years old.
He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and was retired from the maintenance department at Davy Crockett State Park.
Visitation will be 10 o'clock until 12 o'clock Saturday, December 27, 2014, at Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home.
A graveside funeral service with full military honors will follow at 1:00 at the Oak Grove Cemetery with Bro. Bobby Wade officiating.
He was preceded in death by his parents Mertie and Clara Emmie Jacobs Garner along with two brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years Gwen Garner of Goodspring. Daughters Denise (Michael) Lochner of Corpus Christie, TX. and Dawn Garner of Mt. Pleasant, TN. Sons David (Dawn) Garner of Leoma, TN. and Steve Garner of Georgia.
2 brothers, 5 sisters, several grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
