ONETA WAKEFIELD
BEEN WHEELER - Services for Oneta Jean Wakefield, 74, Rhome, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Hilliard Funeral Home chapel, Van, with the Rev. James Weir officiating.
Burial will be in Fairway Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Mrs. Wakefield died Jan. 29 in a Decatur hospital.
She was born Aug. 26, 1925, in Ben Wheeler. She lived in Mansfield before moving to Rhome one and one-half years ago. She was a secretary for Sprint and a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband, Garland Wakefield, Rhome; daughters, Linda Kay Wakefield, Rhome, and Jeannine Tobias, Mansfield; sister, Kathlene Mahoney, California; four grandchildren; and three greats grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Michael P. Tobias, Matthew G. Beard, Marlon Droddy and Justin Beard.
Family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
