W.R & Jasper lot [Jasper, which is Thomas Jasper Collins

[I believe this is the most likely Collins lot location photographed here]
Obit lists him as having been with the Evening Star as journalist & Editor for 27 years at the time of his death in 1891. A wedding announcement Baltimore Sun June 15, 1883 has his daughter Ada Genevieve Collins as marrying a S.A.[Samuel] Gaskins II, at Trinity Church Rev Father Roccofort officiating with ''a throng of friends attending'' His son in law Samuel appears to have lived between 1859 - 1918. Samuel & Ada had children with names that included Julia Ann Gaskins & Catherine Lavinia & Genevieve Ada Gaskins all who lived long lives and their names all match with William's 2nd wife Catherine Ann Lavinia Clements Collins, as well as Julia A which matches mother's & mother in laws names. A Samuel S. Gaskins and wife Julia A Hutchins Gaskins is buried at Oak Hill also in Georgetown probably his daughters', mother in law [1841 -1915]& father in law '41 - '66.. Oddly William's mother also is Julia A. d 1880. Probable error of the initial at Oak Hill. [Samuel A Gaskins, and not Samuel S as currently shown.]
Since the above was written I came across an obituary for a Laura V. Collins of 3416 P St. She is listed as the wife of the late William R. Collins Feb 12, 1891.
1880 census lists 3 children in addition to his eldest daughter Ada Genevieve [child of 2nd wife].
