He was the son of Johannes "John" Moser (1763-1802) and Barbara (Buchman) Moser, of Northampton (now Lehigh) Co., PA.
Daniel and his siblings - John, Abraham and Christina Reichel - came to Crawford Co. in 1828.
He was the father of 13 children, 12 of whom lived to maturity.
