Russian ballerina. Olga Jordan (Iordan) was born in St. Petersburg and was a pupil of Agrippina Vaganova. A strong dancer with a brilliant technique. Her most famous roles and creations were that of the Diva in The Golden Age, Zarema in Fountain of Bakchisarai and Jeanne in Flames of Paris. Other major roles for her were Odette/Odile in Swan Lake and the title roles in Esmeralda and Laurencia. From 1950 onwards she taught at the Vagamova School and at the Bolshoi Theatre. She is an honored artist of the USSR
