Valrei Adams left this life peacefully on Decemeber 29, 2014 in Amarillo, TX. She was born November 30, 1959 in Tremonton, UT to Vern C. and Betty Shuman Adams. She lived with her family in Tremonton, UT, Jerome, and Buhl, ID.

She excelled academically and graduated as class valedictorian from Buhl High School. She attended Ricks College on scholarship. She then worked as a governess, living in Connecticut, New York City and Boston. She loved teaching children and delighted in their learning.

Valrei was very musically talented and enjoyed playing the piano and organ. She had two dogs, Thatcher and Ellie that she loved dearly.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was valiant in living and sharing the gospel. She loved her Savior, Jesus Christ, and served well in many church callings, striving to go the “extra-mile” and endure faithfully.

Valrei was happiest spending time with family and friends, teaching children, serving others, and attending the temple.

She had traveled world-wide and lived in many places, last residing in Dumas, TX

Valrei was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her step-mother, Doris Adams of Hagerman, ID. Surviving siblings are Roger Adams, Canyon, TX; Becky Johnson, Deweyville, UT; Robyn (Rand) Austin, Fruit Heights, UT; Dell (Julie) Adams, Las Vegas, NV and Tresa (Chuck) West, Henderson, NV.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E., Tremonton, UT) with a viewing prior to the service from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the East Garland Cemetery.
