Obituary of George L. Bagwell
BAGWELL - In this city, March 26, 1906, George L., beloved husband of Bethany Bagwell and father of Mrs. Walter Baker and Thomas A. Bagwell of Eureka, J. W., J. R. and George Bagwell, Mrs. Annie Moutray and Mrs. Ellen Laster of Texas; a native of Alabama, aged 73 years and three months.
Notice of funeral hereafter.
Funeral Rites: The funeral of George L. Bagwell, a stranger here, from Texas, was held from the Masonic Hall this afternoon at 2 o'clock. Dr. Burns officiated as the worshipful master and the Rev. R. D. Clark as the clergyman. T. D. Petch and A. J. Monroe sand the dirges, with an organ accompaniment by J. J. Von Hovenburg. The Pallbearers were E. J. Frost, C. W. Hitchings, W. S. Gemmil, Hubert Murray, Alec Rankin, and Peter Root. Interment was at Ocean View Cemetery.
The gravestone has him born in 1832, died in 1906 and has a Masonic emblem on it.
