8-18-2021 and no grave marker located for Isabella. Not known if there was a grave marker years back. Spouse Mathew Evans is laid to rest in Bristol, South Dakota.

Isabella Knapp Evans was the Widow of Mathew E. Evans who was a U.S. Union
Civil War Veteran. Company D 9 Illinois Volunteer Infantry Soldier. Isabella Knapp Married Mathew E. Evans Sept. 8, 1873 in Millersville, Douglas Co. Minnesota.
They Married after Mathew Served our Country during active war time. Isabella's
Family of Origin had moved from Winnebago Co. Wisconsin to Douglas Co. MN
by 1870. Isabella and Mathew were living in Effington Otter Tail Co. MN by 1875.
They still resided in Effington Otter Tail Co. MN by 1880. They started their Family in
Effington Otter Tail Co. MN and were Blessed with Children. It appears Isabella and
Matthew may have relocated to South Dakota by the time Matthew passed away in 1886. After Mathew passed away Isabella applied for U.S Civil War Veterans Widow's pension. Their Son Oscar Custer Evans had relocated to South Dakota , married and started his first Family with Spouse Jennie Owens Evans in Bristol Day Co. South Dakota. Beloved Mathew Evans passed away in South Dakota and is laid to rest in
Bristol Day Co. South Dakota. Son Oscar Evans relocated to Seattle Washington and remarried to Ida Simons. Her Son Scott Evans had Married, relocated to
Minot So. Dakota where he and Amanda began to raise their Family, then relocated
to Aberdeen South Dakota. Isabella was Blessed with Grandchildren from all three of
her adult Children's Marriage Unions. Per her Obituary, It appears that Isabella was either visiting or staying with her Daughter Nancy Evans Harthouse's Family in Minot North Dakota when she accidentally fell and passed away from her injuries. Isabella was very loved and deeply missed by the many Relatives and Friends who loved her.

It appears per her Obituary that many of her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren
may have inherited some of her many good qualities. This writer had the honor of spending time with many her descendants and she would have been proud.

Isabella's Brother Edward Knapp and other Family Members, Friends were also U.S. Union Civil War Veterans.
