1733 November 4th
A violent storm caused a schooner to sink in the Anse de Berthier [a small Berthier cove], [on the] Riviere-Bellechasse. Six people drowned. They were: Francois Caron; his wife Francoise Pare; Francoise Boirie; Marie-Joseph Bourassa, wife of Louis Bosse, (her second Marriage); Marie Dubeau, wife of Marois of Quebec; and Jean Labranche.
November 5th
The six people who drowned on the 4th were buried in the Berthier parish cemetery. ( Berthier Register)
