Mamie Conn Puckett, age 93, of Kingston, Tennessee, went home to be with her Lord, Saturday, January 10, 2015. She was born March 17, 1921 in Athens, Alabama and has lived most of her life in Roane County. She was a God fearing woman who loved the Lord and enjoyed being with her church family at Southwest Baptist Church. She also enjoyed quilting, sewing and working in her yard as long as her health permitted. But Mamie treasured most the time spent with her children, grandchildren and extended family. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years, George W. Puckett, Sr.; son, George W. “Bubba” Puckett, Jr.; grandchildren, Tamera Puckett, Jonathan Backus and Kevin Rhodus; parents, Claude & Thellie Conn; brother, Gene Conn; sisters, Virta Carwile & Christine Conn.
The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Southwest Baptist Church with funeral service following the visitation at 8:00 pm. Graveside service will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, at Calvary-Hazelwood Cemetery.
