Death of Mr. Sutherland.
Mr. Thos(Talmage)Sutherland, who has been very ill for weeks, died yesterday about noon at the home of Gabe Warren, on north Cottenwood street. He was seventy three years old and was on of the old settlers in Iola. During his last illness he required daily and unremitting care and it was deemed best not to leave him in his home where he kept house for himself and he was removed to the home of Gabe Warren, who nursed him faithfully for weeks till the end came.
At the time of his death his son, Leonard who keeps the county poor farm, and his two daughters, Mrs. Robert Woods and Mrs. James Bryant, were at his side. The funeral was held at 11 o'clock this morning from the home of Mr. Woods, corner of Buckeye and Brackenridge streets, Rev. William Hankins officiating.
