John Daniel Birney, 85, of Malvern, passed away suddenly at his home Monday, Jan. 12, 2015.
John was born in Malvern, Ohio, on Oct. 12, 1929, a son of the late Daniel J. and Pearl (Davy) Birney.
He was a member of Baxter Ridge United Methodist Church and had worked as a kilncar repairman at Whitacre-Greer.
John is survived by a sister, Sarah Hatch, of Hubbard; a brother, James (Dorothy) Birney, of Minerva; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Charity Stamm, Eleanor Venables and Catherine Morris.
Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery.
