OBITUARY:

Takerian, Jack Found his peace on Fri. June 14, 2002 at age 76. Beloved husband for 54 years to Martha (nee Dehring). Loving father of Michael (Christine), the late Mark Takerian, Cathy (Dan) Radler, Jack (Melanie) Takerian, Mary (George) Wenzel and Matthew (Amy) Takerian. Fond brother of Mary Antonian and Alice (Chuck) Matosian. Brother-in-law to George and MaeAnn Dehring and Emma Strobel. Proud grandfather to Branden, Andrew, Kendall, Katie, Lauren, Emily, Payton, Taylor, Jack and Lily. Beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. Jack spent most of his life in public service, 37 years of which with the Milwaukee Public School System as the Commissioner of Athletics and Educator. He was a teacher at Trowbridge Street School in the Bay View section of Milwaukee in the 1950s and 1960s. Other public service years includes Y.M.C.A, Boys and Girls Clubs of Wisconsin and Special Olympics. In addition to his public service Jack spent 17 years as Pool Director of Tuckaway Country Club. His family, friends and all of those he has touched in his 76 years of life will profoundly miss him. Funeral Service Tues. June 18, at 7PM at the Chapel of the Chimes at Wisconsin Memorial Park. Visitation Tuesday from 4PM until the time of service. Entombment Wisconsin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Jack Takerian Memorial Scholarship fund.
