Evelyn Teresa (Fager) Iott

Died: Mon., Jan. 12, 2015

Evelyn T. Iott, age 88, of Petersburg, MI passed away in her home on Monday, January 12, 2015 under the care of Pro Medica Hospice of Monroe.

Born on March 2, 1926 she was the daughter of Clarence and Mary Ann (Kreuz) Fager in Maumee, Ohio. On August 10, 1946, she married Gerald H. Iott at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Maumee, Ohio. Sadly, he preceded her in death on November 8, 2004. Together Evelyn and Gerald ran a successful vegetable and grain farm where they raised their 8 children. She was a homemaker who also loved to crochet and was an award winning quilter.

Evelyn is survived by her children, Regina (Larry) Feldpausch, Petersburg, MI, Carol (Jack) Frazier, Tullahoma, TN, Arleen (Ken) Koenigsknecht, Claremore, OK, Neil Iott, Petersburg, MI, Richard (Danatta) Iott, Live Oak, FL., Thomas (Ella) Iott, Citrus Heights, CA, Geralyn (Charles) Demkowski, Sylvania, Oh., Susan Dean, Kissimmee, FL., sister, Cecilia Richardson, Louisville, KY and Bernetta (Jerry) Flahie, Toledo, OH 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by sister, Mary Fall and Bernice Iott, brothers Herman, Raymond, Leonard, Robert and James Fager and son-in-law Charles David Dean.

Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St., Sylvania, OH, Friday, January 16, 2015, from 3:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. where the Rosary will be recited at 7:30 P.M. The funeral Mass will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 17, 2015, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 4605 St. Anthony Road, Temperance, MI 48182, where Evelyn’s body will lie in state one hour prior.

The family request tributes in the form of contributions to St. Anthony Catholic Church or ALS Research.
