Raymond E. Fager, 90, went to be with the Lord on March 12, 2012. He was born on August 17, 1921 to the late Clarence and Mary Fager in Perrysburg, Ohio.

Ray was employed at Champion Sparkplug for 41 years, retiring in June of 1983. He was a Lab Technician and worked on many new developments such as jet and rocket igniters. Ray later was Superintendent of the Special Productions Department. He was a WWII veteran serving in the Air Force and the 13th Armored Division in Germany. Ray received two Bronze Stars. After retirement, he enjoyed woodworking in his shop making glider rocking chairs and other furniture. Ray built two family homes and was instrumental in helping his son, Keith establish Glass City Landscape. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.

In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his siblings, Herman, Leonard, Robert, James, Berniece Iott and Mary Fall. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 65 years, Joyce; children, Janet (Frank) Renner, Barbara (Edward) Adams, Wayne (Susan), Linda (John) Rosentreter, Keith (Valeeta); siblings, Evelyn, Cecilia, Bernetta; grandchildren, Julie, Kimberly, Amy, Jennifer, Mireille, Powell, Shelley, Kyle; great-grandchildren, Emma, Taylor, Alyssa, Alex, Cole, Caden, Alaina, Noah; step-grandchildren, Amy, Angie, Holly, Ian; step-great-grandchildren, Olivia, Jamie and Hunter.

The family will receive guests on Thursday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). A Rosary Service will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Mass will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, 6149 Hill Avenue, Toledo. Prayers will begin in the funeral home at 9:00 a.m. Fr. Ray Shepherd officiating. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery.
