The following persons were called here last week by the death of Mrs. Croco: Mr. Graven and Mrs. Ditmore of Ohio, Mrs. Dehaven of Kidder, Mo., Mr. and Mrs. Jake Copeland of Peckham.
The announcement of the death of Mrs. Croco which occurred at the Kansas City hospital Wednesday morning, May 13, 1903, brought deep grief to our entire community. She leaves one son, Graven, and several brothers and sisters, besides numerous friends to mourn her untimely death. All who became acquainted with Mrs. Croco liked her for she was generous, kind hearted, true to her home and love ones and friends, sympathetic in her nature and was always ready to do a favor or a kindness to others if in her power. There was so much of these qualities in her nature that she was endeared to all who knew her and her memory will be cherished by the many who have been made sad by her death. Our sympathies with the only child who is left so young without father or mother, but not without friends. The remains of the deceased were laid to rest Saturday morning in the Winfield cemetery beside her husband and other loved ones.
