LINCOLN HAMPTON, SR, died on Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at Golden Living Center, Dedham. Born on March 2, 1932, in West Bend Kentucky, he was the son of the late Goria Sanford and Margaret E. (Kidd) Hampton. Mr. Hampton was raised in Kentucky and Illinois and then served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He came to Boston in the 1950′s, where he married Margaret Lucille Cash on January 25, 1958. Six children were born from this union. He was a man of many interests, especially traveling the world. He was a master barber and worked with American Airlines as a Sky Cap, retiring after many years of service. Survived by his wife Margaret Cash Hampton, and a sister, Elizabeth Cunningham of Cincinnati, Ohio, and his children; Lincoln Hampton, Jr. and his wife Regina of Cambridge, Sanford Hampton and his wife Kimberly of Quincy, Ruth Hampton of Boston, Dewane Hampton of Mattapan, Nitanya Andrews and her husband Stephen of Stoughton and Neill Hampton of Texas. Also survived by his grandchildren; Sherline Hampton, Carly Hampton, Ellis Hampton, Talia Hampton, Dana Hill, Dewane Hampton, Jr. Clay Andrews, Neill Jabari and Brianna Hampton and 2 great grandchildren, Daniel Hill and Damaria Hampton. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, August 24 at 3:30 PM at Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington St.DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS. Visitation 2-3:30 pm prior to service. Interment, Monday, August 25, 12:45 PM at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
