It is mentionned on his death record (parish of St-Désiré-du-lac-Noir known as Black Lake) that he died at Foyer Valin (Valin Retirement Home) of St-Méthode, Frontenac County and he was born and baptized on the same day of March 3rd 1875 in Ste-Edwidge, Wolfe County. The county could be a mistake, misunderstood or miswritten because Ste-Edwidge is close from the New Hampshire/Vermont border (~12-15 miles), much more than Wolfe County. As he was living in Compton at 6 years old, it makes sense.
Adélard is 6 years old in 1881 and he lives with his family in the city of Compton (Chestham Township).

On the 1891 census, at the age of 16 years old, he's declared to live in South Ireland and Coleraine County (Township of Mégantic).

As the Québec government was giving land or selling few at low prices in order to increase the population and helping people to stay in Québec. So probably the hard job was done by Joseph Gagné and Marie-Belzémire Camiré (clearing it from trees and rocks in order to build a farm. When Marie-Belzémire died on 1906, Joseph got remarried to Sara Vachon.
He probably sold or he gave his land to his son Adélard few years later.
Rose-Arseline Lemay's mother (Rose-Délima Camiré) was the sister of Marie-Belzémire Camiré (Adélard Gagné's mother). So Rosa and Adélard were 1st degree cousins.
Adélard married Rose-Arseline Lemay (known as Rosa Lemay) in St-Adrien-d'Irlande on November 27th 1899. The St-Désiré's church of Black Lake wasn't built yet. The couple will have 13 kids together but they won't all survive.
He sold the land and all the buildings to his son Antoine (Florida Daigle) that continued to live on and to cultivate it.
Adélard died at 92 years and 7 months old at Valin's nursing home of St-Méthode-de-Frontenac, Québec, and was burried in St-Désiré' cemetery of Black Lake.
