She was born in Plessisville, Québec, on July 17th 1850, and she was baptized in the parish of St-Calixte of that town.

She got married in Manchester (Hillsborough Hill), New Hampshire, to Joseph Gagné on May 12th 1874 at the age of 23 years old. Her sister Rose-Délima Camiré got married to Éloi (Éloi Israël) Lemay, also in Manchester a year after, on October 30th 1875.

She was the daughter of Thomas Camiré and Geneviève Coulombe. Thomas and Geneviève were from Ste-Marie-de-Beauce, Québec, where they got married on August 29th 1826. So Marie-Belzémire and Rose-Délima were probably born in Ste-Marie.

She follows Rose-Délima who died in 1892 after giving birth to her last son, Joseph Alphonse Lemay known as "Jos".
