Babe (Marbut) Wallace, age 87yrs, 9 months, and 28 days when she passed away at the Atoka Memorial Hospital on Thursday April 25th 2002.

Babe attended and graduated from Hugo High School.

Married Claud Wallace on June 6, 1947 at Bonham, Tx.

Occupation: Babe was a housewife and homemaker. However she told me she use to be a beautician before she met Claud.

Babe was a member of the Atoka First United Methodist Church since 1947. She was also a member of the Pioneer Club and the Yellow Rose Garden Club.

Miss Babe as she was known loved to work in her yard and loved to raise a garden. She loved her beloved German Shepherd TUESDAY and she had already passed away long before Babe died. That dog went everywhere Miss Babe went....then she later aquired two kittens from me and named them Tuesday and Ginger. We got a big kick out of the joke that I thought they was female is why Babe gave them girl names and when we went to the Vet to have them spayed the Vet looks at Miss Babe and said "That really isnt possible since they are males" We laughed about that for the longest time. She was a great lady,,,would do anything for anybody. She never had children. Me and my husband rented a little house from Babe when we first married. It was like a doll house to me. Small yet beautiful and I was happy there. Had many happy times with this lady and her husband. She called me "Susie Doodle"
