May 24, 1919 - Jan 21, 2015 Louise Moman, age 95, a longtime resident of Gardendale, AL died Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at a local hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nora and Earnest Moman; five brothers, Edward, Earl, Lester, J.D., and Charles; two sisters, Verna Lee Painter and Alice Godfrey. Sisters-in-law, Lynn Moman, Helen Moman, Jimmie Moman, and Lois Moman; Brothers-in-law: Dennis Painter, Edward Godfrey, and J.D. Neely; Nephews: Roy James Neely, Dan Lee Neely, Warren Neely, Ronnie Moman, and Jackie Moman; Nieces: Deborah Neely and Pat Godfrey Phelen. She is survived by sisters: Levern Neely, Blountsville and Dot Wilson, (Vernon), Tuscaloosa; Sister-in-law: Ester Moman of Gardendale and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews, great grandnieces and nephews, and cousins. Over the years Lou has worked at several jobs with the latest being The Gift Shop at Carraway Hospital from which she retired in 1994. She had no children of her own but enjoyed being with and entertaining her extended family. She also enjoyed yard work and table games. For many years she has been an active member of New Georgia Baptist Church, the Church Choir, and the Fellowship Sunday School Class. Services will be held on Saturday, January 24th, at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel at 12 Noon with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Morris Cemetery in Morris, AL. Rev. Thomas Graves will officiate and nephews, Dennis Painter, Les Moman, David Moman, Charles Godfrey, Lee Moman, James Neely, Rick Moman, and Ernie Moman will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be her remaining nephews and nieces and the members of her Sunday School Class.
