Sunset ~ Funeral services will be held Friday, September 5, 2014 at a time pending Mass of Christian Burial in St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church for Anna Jane Thibodeaux, age 86, the former Anna Jane Boss, who passed away Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Opelousas General Health System in Opelousas.
Interment will be in St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in Grand Coteau.
Mrs. Thibodeaux was a native of Cankton and a resident of Sunset. She was a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Grand Coteau.
Survivors include one son, Michael Cormier and his wife, Lori, of Church Point; one step-son, Andrew Thibodeaux and his wife, Alice, of Dunbar, WV; one step-daughter, Betty Williams and her husband, Denny, of Denver, CO; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother, Hubert Boss and his wife, Anna Lee, of Sunset; one sister, Lillie Mae Boss Noto of Carencro; and two sisters-in-law, Alma Guilbeau Boss of Lafayette and Gloria Savoy Boss DeValcourt of Sunset.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Garland Cormier; her second husband, John C. Thibodeaux; her parents, Maurice Boss and the former, Josephine Marks; six brothers, Frank Boss and his wife, Odile, Abbie Boss and his wife, Miada, Lloyd Boss, Earlis Boss and his wife, Electa, Harry Boss and his wife, Velma, and Kermit Boss; three sisters, Elbie Guidry and her husband, Noe', Eula Bajat and her husband, Antoine "Toe", and Evelyn Haure and her husband, E.J.
Melancon Funeral Home, Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel, 4117 North University Avenue Carencro, Louisiana was in charge of arrangements.
