Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 23, 2023 at a 1:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church for Hubert Boss, age 92, who passed away Monday, February 20, 2023 at his residence in Arnaudville.

Interment will be in St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in Grand Coteau. The Rev. Mark Kramer, pastor of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.

Mr. Boss was a native of Cankton and resident of Sunset. He retired from Borden's Milk Company after thirty years of employment as a refrigerator repairman. He was a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church. A veteran of the military, Mr. Boss proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Survivors include his wife of seventy-two years, Anna Lee Boss; one son, Bert Boss and his wife, Donna, of Carencro; one daughter-in-law, Kandy Gutierrez Boss of Sunset; five grandchildren, Jeremy Boss, Todd Ramsey, Kim Thibodeaux (Bryan), Pam Thibodeaux (Brent), and Julie Esta (Derrick); nine great grandchildren, Ashleigh Boss Dronet, Trinity Boss, Adali Boss, McKenna Ramsey, Kalli Miller, Megan Roger, Zachary Thibodeaux, Londyn Esta, and Amelia Esta; and four great-great grandchildren, Everleigh Dronet, Blaise Miller, Hayden Miller and Grayson Miller.

He was preceded in death by one son, Joseph Dale Boss; one grandson, Dusty Boss; his parents, Maurice Boss and the former Josephine Marks; six brothers, Abbe Boss, Frank Boss, Harry Boss, Lloyd Boss, Urlis Boss and Kermit Boss; and three sisters, Evelyn Haure, Lilly Mae Noto, and Anna Jane Thibodeaux.

A rosary will be prayed at 10:00 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:30 a.m. Thursday until service time on Thursday.
