With his first (UNKNOWN) wife, Thomas Alexander had the following 3 children:

1.Lucinda Alexander Anderson was born March 2, 1821, and died Feb. 10, 1889, Owen County, Indiana, and is buried in Hudson Hill Cemetery, Spencer, Owen County, Indiana;

2.William Alexander was born July 17, 1823 in Indiana, and died after 1870, (unknown where he died); and

3.John Alexander was born Jan. 30, 1826, Owen County, Indiana and died Apr. 17, 1897, and is buried in Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Harrison County, MO. John was incorrectly previously entered below as a son of Mary Polly Moss. His mother's name is currently unknown.

NOTE: There is some controversy around the entry of Sarah Alexander Moss, listed below. According to other information, her maiden name was Moss -- not Alexander, and that she was not a daughter of this couple. Nor has there been sufficient evidence that she was a daughter of Thomas Alexander by the unknown first wife. Her name did not appear in a previous list of the children of Thomas and Mary Polly Moss Alexander copied from an old Bible.
