In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Griffin, Elaine Roy and two brothers, Robert Shepherd, and James Shepherd.
Survivors include his wife Iris Jordan Shepherd, Russell Springs, KY, and the following:
One son: Arthur Lee Noonkester, Russell Springs, KY
Three sisters: Agnes Beard, Jamestown, KY; Audrey Pike, Russell Springs, KY; and Louise Harden, Columbia, KY
