Our beloved mother, grandmother and friend, Nellie Kome De Man, born May 25, 1914 in Rotterdam, Netherlands, joined her eternal companion, Adriaan John De Man on February 29, 2004. She married John on June 7, 1939 in Rotterdam, later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Having survived World War II, she and her husband came to the United States to start a new life and gave birth to her son Adrian. She was active in her LDS Ward and served for many years in the Primary. Being a sweet and gentle soul, she was loved by all who knew her. Having had a long and healthy life, she passed away from cancer. Having been told in Holland she would never have any children, she is survived by two children: Adrian (Diane) and Kim; six grandchildren: David, Stefanie, (Levi Sorensen), Gene, Wendy, Kim, and Candice; sister Maria Leeman.
