Richard Owen Ballard, 73, passed away on January 26, 2015 in Spanish Fork, UT. He was born June 25, 1941 in Murray, Utah to Norman William and Leah Olive Johnson Ballard. He married Joyce Nielson on July 12, 1963 in the Salt Lake Temple in Salt Lake City, UT.
Richard was a great husband and father. He was very valiant in his life. He was adored by all who knew him. He was a wonderful friend to all he associated with. He will be greatly missed.
Richard is survived by wife Joyce Nielson Ballard of Spanish Fork, UT, children Brian (Melinda) Ballard of Byron, WY, Trisha (Aaron) Weaver of Cedar Hills, UT, Michelle (Frank) Mickelson of Lovell, WY, David (Rica) Ballard of Lewisville, TX, Elizabeth (Eric) Stephenson of Saratoga Springs, UT, Angela (Mike) Gammell of Spanish Fork, UT. 24 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren, and by brother Shirl Dee Ballard.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
There will be a viewing Thursday, January 29, 2015 from 6-8 pm and Friday, January 30, 2015 from 9:30-10:30 am with the services starting at 11am in the Spanish Fork South Stk. Center, 870 E. Canyon Rd., Spanish Fork, UT. Interment will be at the Spanish Fork Cemetery.
